The long wait is over — Last King of the Cross Season 2 debuts this month on streaming.

The Australian crime series chronicles John Ibrahim’s ascent to power, from being a struggling immigrant with no money and seemingly no chance of making it, to becoming the country’s most infamous nightclub mogul in Sydney’s Kings Cross. However, his success in the cutthroat world of Kings Cross is not without colossal sacrifices and dire consequences, which only comes with the territory.

In Season 2, eighteen months after the events of the first series where John ultimately decided to leave Sydney to lie low, we’ll be introduced to new enemies as threats prove to be persistent.

Returning with higher stakes, find out how to watch new Last King of the Cross episodes here.

What will be Last King of the Cross Season 2 be about?

Infamous nightclub mogul John Ibrahim’s rise to wealth and power is the subject of the Paramount+’s original series Last King of the Cross. From being a poverty- stricken immigrant to commanding his own nightclub in King Cross, a mini-Atlantic City, barely half a mile long but with endless possibilities, he makes personal sacrifices to ensure he retains his newfound influence.

Last King of the Cross is inspired by Ibrahim’s best-selling autobiography of the same name, an operatic story of two brothers, Sam and John Ibrahim and their tumultuous journey in the criminal underworld. They may have found a way to thrive in the streets of King Cross; however, they ultimately lose each other as power becomes a dangerous element in their relationship.

In Season 2, which takes place eighteen months after the explosive events of the first instalment, John (Lincoln Younes) returns to Sydney following his Ibiza retreat, only to find that things have changed a great deal. Fadi (Alex Kaan) and Michael (Dave Hoey) have grown up in ways that are beyond physical. His brother Sam (Claude Jabbour), meanwhile, is still in prison, although his presence behind bars has a newfound purpose.

With the Royal Commission taking a toll on everyone and everything in Kings Cross, John is eyeing Oxford Street — the new centre of Sydney’s wild nightlife. But going in won’t be easy, especially with nightclub owner Ray Kinnock (Naveen Andrews) doing every dirty trick to make sure that doesn’t happen.
