Following on from the huge success of their Kayo Sports and BINGE streaming services, Foxtel has launched a third streaming service entirely dedicated to those who love to consume news on a large scale. Named Flash News, it’s available now in Australia, and even comes with a free trial.

Based on the same app platform as BINGE and Kayo Sports, Flash is the third streaming TV service from the dynamic streaming company Streamotion, which is owned by the Foxtel Group. It’s designed to fill the demand for a high-quality, 24-hour source of breaking news, news analysis and in-depth coverage of events as they unfold.

While it brings together multiple news sources – from Sky News to CNN – and provides live flash streams of all of them, it is also designed to let viewers home in on the stories they’re following and keep up to date with the latest coverage, using curated on-demand clips from a wide range of news outlets.

It draws on some of the innovative features originally created for Kayo Sports to deliver the latest news flash on politics, business, local and international events, ready to go any time subscribers want to get up to date with what’s happening.

Kate De Brito, previously editor in chief of popular news website news.com.au, has made her way over to the Foxtel Group to launch Flash, meeting the growing demand for streaming live news from the best range of sources to keep Australian households informed and up to date – and driving rapid growth of on-demand news.

How much does a Flash News subscription cost?

Flash delivers the world’s news to viewers at a remarkably low price – only $8 per month. Like other Streamotion services, there is no lock-in contract. You can try Flash out completely free for 14 days by taking advantage of the Flash trial offer.

Because it’s using the same technology platform, Flash will be able to deliver successful Kayo features such as split-screen which, in a news format, will be invaluable for those who want to stay informed about everything from the share market to world events and of course, Covid-19.
