Can Ricciardo Match Webber for Monaco Wins?
It might seem like an eternity ago, but it was as recent as 2018 when Daniel Ricciardo won the Monaco Grand Prix as a Red Bull Racing driver. Danny out qualified Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and his then-teammate Max Verstappen; as he cleared the circuit in 1:10 in Q3; to earn pole position; subsequently winning the race.
Now in the McLaren car, the end-of-season targets might be a little different; but our boy has already won here. If he can perform on Saturday; then there’s no reason why a points finish can’t be a reality. What might be harder is for him to level Mark Webber’s number of Monaco GP wins; having won it in 2010 and 2012. Yet should a few faster cars fall out of the race; we might see the Aussie drive up the rankings.

The championship was decided in the last round in Abu Dhabi in controversial circumstances involving a safety car, with some believing the weekend might have been the last in the sport that included multiple world champion Lewis Hamilton – though he has returned for 2023.
